We are committed to harnessing the power of technology to enhance learning in a way that is safe, structured, and future-focused.

Our one-to-one device programme for all Year 7 students is just one example of our forward-thinking approach. Every student now has access to their own school device, allowing for more interactive, independent, and personalised learning.

• Students can now access a wide range of digital resources, including online textbooks, educational games, and multimedia materials.
• They can also collaborate with their peers remotely, facilitating teamwork and communication.
• Furthermore, our devices are equipped with advanced security features to ensure the safe and responsible use of technology.

However, we are aware that access to technology must come with responsibility. That’s why we have created a safe digital framework, ensuring students’ online tools are carefully controlled and their usage is closely monitored.

By embedding these safeguards, we are fostering a learning environment where students can confidently develop their digital skills within a secure structure. We are also excited about the launch of a new T-level in digital design from September 2025. This highly specialised qualification will provide students with hands-on experience and industry-relevant skills, preparing them for careers in one of the fastest-growing sectors. Another key focus of our strategy is artificial intelligence. AI is transforming the world, and we believe students should be prepared to use it ethically and effectively. “AI will not replace jobs, but a person who knows how to use AI well will replace the person who doesn’t,” our headteacher often says. This philosophy underpins our approach to AI education, ensuring that our students are equipped with the knowledge and skills to engage with AI as a tool for innovation rather than as a challenge to fear. We are also proud to be part of the AI Campus, an elite programme designed to develop future leaders in artificial intelligence. Two of our Year 12 students are currently participating, gaining valuable insights and experience in this cutting-edge field.
