Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Education

According to a recent survey, the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on education has sparked a mix of feelings among students and educators in India. While over 90 per cent of respondents believe that AI has had a positive impact on education, over 85 per cent feel overwhelmed by its availability and volume.

Survey Highlights

93 per cent of survey respondents in India feel positive about the impacts AI is having on education, making it the highest positive outlook among all surveyed regions and countries.
85 per cent of respondents in India say the availability and volume of AI is overwhelming.
50 per cent of the respondents in India say they don’t know how to get the most benefit from AI in their roles or studies.
64 per cent of students reported being worried about the use of AI within education, compared to 50 per cent of educators and 41 per cent of academic administrators across the survey’s six countries.

Interestingly, the survey found that while respondents in India are the most positive about the impact of AI, they also reported being the most overwhelmed by its volume and availability. This paradox highlights the need for educators to develop strategies to effectively utilize AI and minimize its potential drawbacks.
